How automatic image annotation works
Three steps, no prompt engineering. The output is written for people first and search engines second.
- 1
Upload an image
Drop, paste, or choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file. We compress it to a 1600 px long edge before it leaves your browser.
- 2
Get a precise description
Automatic annotation identifies subjects, actions, text, and context, then writes an accessible description instead of a keyword list.
- 3
Copy alt text and captions
Use the short alt text for HTML image tags and the longer caption for product pages, CMS fields, and social posts.
Why teams choose automatic image annotation
Good image descriptions are an accessibility requirement, a ranking signal, and a content quality signal at the same time.
Accessibility that holds up
Screen readers announce meaningful alt text, so blind and low-vision visitors understand every image instead of hearing a filename.
Image SEO without busywork
Descriptive alt text and captions give search engines context for image search, while keeping filenames and markup clean.
Built for AI search
Clear, factual image descriptions help answer engines and generative search surface your pages with the right context.
One workflow for every team
Content, e-commerce, and support teams can standardize image descriptions without rewriting alt text by hand.
Eight scene styles for different exhibition contexts
From a classic museum voice to social-media photo spots, choose the tone that fits the room and the audience. Each style comes with a writing guide, rules, and an example label.
Image packs
Buy an image pack once. Images never expire, and the largest pack you buy decides batch size and exports.
Automatic image annotation FAQ
Short answers about alt text, captions, formats, privacy, and image allowances.
What is automatic image annotation?+
Automatic image annotation uses computer vision and language models to describe what an image shows. It produces alt text, captions, and longer descriptions that can be used for accessibility, search engine optimization, and content management.
How do I generate alt text from an image?+
Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 15 MB. The tool analyzes the image and returns a concise alt text plus a longer caption that you can copy into your website, CMS, or product catalog.
Is automatic image annotation good for SEO?+
Yes. Descriptive alt text and captions help search engines understand image content and can improve image search visibility. They also make pages more useful to screen readers and AI answer engines.
Which image formats and sizes are supported?+
JPEG, PNG, and WebP up to 15 MB are supported. SVG, GIF, and HEIC are rejected for safety and predictability. Images are resized to a 1600 px long edge and converted to WebP when possible.
Do you store my images?+
Uploads require an account and are stored privately for your own label history. We do not use your images to train models, and you can delete any image and its copy from the dashboard at any time.
How do image packs work?+
Images are sold in packs of 50, 300 or 800. The first view of a new image uses 1 image credit, and you can view the same image once more free within 7 days. After 2 views, confirm a new round to use 1 more credit. Failed runs are refunded automatically.
Can I use the generated descriptions commercially?+
Yes. You are responsible for reviewing the output for accuracy and for the rights to the images you upload. Always check descriptions for names, text, and context before publishing.
What are the eight scene styles?+
The eight styles are classic museum, trend / street art, children's gallery, healing gallery, café / retail, minimal white cube, academic curator / biennale, and social media / photo spot. Each one changes the tone, sentence length, and title format of the label.
How do I choose a scene style?+
Start with the room and the audience: a formal gallery, a family trail, a café, or an immersive photo spot. Then read the style guide for that context. You can regenerate the same image in another style without uploading it again.
Can I change the style after generating a label?+
Yes. Pick another style in the workspace and regenerate the image. The previous label stays in your history, so you can compare both versions before exporting.
